5 stars for the cheese steaks! Just like Philly! Amoroso rolls, onions, provolone, just perfect! Best in the area and I've tried so many! 1 star for cleanliness due to sticky floors, sticky tables, (tried three tables before I found one nor sticky but then there were bread crumbs all over). 2 stars for service & friendliness. Too bad for the upkeep. Food came out quickly but people not so charming. This place could be so much more The food is amazing!

GROSS! I've only been here once. It is COVERED in flies. I tried to eat inside, and my sandwich was instantly swarmed by the flies. Landing ON my food. Absolutely disgusting. I threw the entire thing away and will NEVER go back. The staff act like nothing is happening. Flies = maggots. How this location hasn't been shut down is beyond me.

It's kind of run down and decorated with Philly stuff. So you know, baseball junk, movie posters, more baseball stuff. That sandwich was good and hot. The cooks... Good Philly Cheeses Steak average fries. Lame decor.

I grew up with LaSpada's in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, this one is every bit as good!!!! Don't let the "dive" look scare you off! We have been going to this one for two years, we usually pick-up and take home, but we have eaten there several times, I've never seen out of control flies. As far as the cheesesteak, having lived close to Philly in the past, I'll never be happy with a Florida cheesesteak. They are one of the closest to "legit" though...even though by close they are still miles away. BUT!!! When it comes to their Italian Special...now we are talking!!! AAAAMMMMAAAZZZZIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!! If you're taking it to go at lunch time call ahead. They get very busy.

The location is sort of dumpy - the building could definitely use a remodel as well as the dining area. I didn't see any flies that the other reviewers have mentioned and I've eaten here several times. The bread is delivered "fresh" daily, yet, when I ate there last, the bread was chewy and tough. I had the mushroom supreme cheesesteak which was great - even better, they now have cheez-whiz which is a must for cheesesteaks. The service is fast and friendly - the food is great even though the parking and the building aren't anything special.

As far as dives go, the food here rates every one of five stars. It's fresh, hot and served with a smile. The place is small but I'm ok with that since I usually get it to go. Their Philly cheesesteak truly is one lip smacking, finger licking sammich though! YUMM!

It's a dive and definitely Not for fainter types accustomed to fresher commercial experiences. 1982 here we come! Flies are out of control humping Everything inside and out. That's a Universal complaint too if you read the other reviews. I've been to Orange City, Sanford, and Lee road numerous times. The Sanford location is the best one overall but the customer service is sometimes gruff and parking is tight. Orange City tried to squeak out a $3.00 tip for themselves which I did not do, be sure to check your statement or pay cash. Don't mention the flies either - they get very defensive about it.

OMG, if you are from the tri-state area, this place has the REAL DEAL when it comes to a Philly Cheesesteak. Reasonable and takes me back home. Just great to have this place here!

IMHO the best Cheese steak in the area, but the bread is chewy and the place is on the dirty side of clean. Their Italian hoagie is also a good choice. Get the order as take out!

Been going here for a couple of years now. Great cheese steaks and their Philly burger is wonderful. The restaurant itself is very old and does resemble a doublewide trailer inside. I've also seen the fly issue that other reviewers have mentioned. That has been kind of gross that last couple of times I've eaten there. The people working there though are wonderful, very polite and hard working. I also eat at the Sanford location which is much newer. The food is very similar to the Orange City location.

Amazing cheesesteaks. I had known about this place for a while but finally decided to try it out. I recommend you do the same. I was a little hesitant about their choice of white American cheese instead of provolone, but damn if they didn't hand me a cheesesteak that easily grabbed first place on the "best I've ever had" poll I have going on in my brain. They had a very good selection of other food as well for those in your party who might want something else. Our group also ordered a BLT and a kid's hot dog, and both were delicious. But the cheesesteak is why you come to this out-of-the-way place in Orange City. The bread is fresh...the meat is high-quality...the accompanying ingredients (onion, pepper, etc) are great...the portions are extremely generous...and the atmosphere/smell is EXACTLY what you want from a cheesesteak/hoagie restaurant. No pretentiousness here...just perfectly good food. I'll definitely be coming back.

I've been desperately trying to find a good Cheese Steak place in Florida since I visited the amazing D'Atris in Cumberland, Maryland (I haven't made it to Pennsylvania yet). My search continues. It's not that the sandwiches are terrible here. They're perfectly adequate. However, I was bothered the day I came in here. Not bothered by personal issues, but by the issues that plague LaSpada's. Specifically, I was bothered by the flies. Yes, the flies. This is an indoor establishment, and by that I mean it does have a screen door despite the fact that the space feels like a garage. Still, they were everywhere. Crawling on the counters, buzzing around the heads of the sandwich makers, and trying to infiltrate my soda. As I drove home with my sandwich, I also pictured them in my cheese steak. What's a girl to do? I got it home, took one bite, pictured those flies everywhere, dry heaved, and chucked it into the garbage. Sorry, LaSpada's. I was willing to accept you into my heart, but we just weren't meant to be.

Best Cheesesteak I found in the Orlando area.

I grew up in Florida, never knowing the satisfaction of a real mouthwatering cheesesteak. Until I traveled to Philly w/ my bf one year and got to experience what a REAL cheesesteak is suppose to taste like. Now I know what to look for when it comes to finding a scrumptious, lip-smackin, melt-in-your-mouth cheesesteak & unless your in Philly, NOTHING comes close to LaSpada's cheesesteaks. LaSpada's cheesesteaks are so finger-licking good, your mouth will trick your mind into thinking you are actually in Philadelphia!! The prices are very reasonable & the staff is great too!!

When glancing at this place from the outside it almost resembles a double wide. Don't let the less than flashy appearance deter you from what awaits inside. What is that? you ask. Deliciousness. The only thing that separates their cheese steaks from one's you get in Philly is the location. Everything they make is yummy. Their prices are fair. The people that work their are great. Definitely a must if you are hungry for a great cheese steak or a hoagie.

Dear LaSpada's, I Love your Philly Cheesesteak Subs. While I have not been to Philly and had a cheesesteak, I can imagine it is just as good as what you make in your restaurant. Orange City/Deland is thousands of miles from Philly and your restaurant by far has the best sub in the area. A friend told me that you cater too.....wow! Next football party im inviting you!!! I can go to LaSpada's and get full of their real 12 inch sub that is filled with rib eye steak meat and cheese and a mountain of fries. I wish you guys were open on Sundays after 3 and I can hang out there and watch the ball game...but thats ok...the food is great!!!! Thanks

Great subs if the bread is fresh, then it is a five. Hit or miss on the freshness. They also serve burgers and greasy other food.
